Need help deciding...Looks as though I have a Sunday morning free to go for a fish, I’m just trying to decide if I should hit Gananoque and try for muskies or head to the gap by the BOQ and try for some walleye. Not sure if the walleye’s will be in that close to the gap to make it worthwhile but at the same time from what I can tell muskies near Gananoque tend to have a better evening bite than in the morning. Just had a son a month ago and haven’t been out in a while so I need to have a fun trip and hopefully land something. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

The best big eye fishing is probably a few weeks away yet, but reports from Slam the Lamb will probably tell the tale. There were a few nice walters caught last year.

During the Gan Muskies Canada outing fish were caught from mid morning right through the day. Its not a numbers game out there by any means, and generally success comes with time spent on the water. The more time you can put in the better your odds of hooking into one of those spotted beasts.

The baits I troll over the next week won't be for walleye, but will be about the size of a walleye and maybe even the colour of a walleye. :D Maybe I'll see you out there. 8)

But then again check out Gordo's post.
