Some of you have no doubt heard about Canada's first all fishing and hunting TV channel offering WILD TV. You can access their website and see the programming they offer.

Currently it is increasingly being offered in the westen provinces and I hope it will eventually makes its way to Ontario. Maybe that can be expedited by emailing or calling our local Cable TV provider.

PS...I have absolutely no affiliation with WILD TV.

Tiny,
The line up of shows looks awesome. I wish I could get Cogeco cable to carry the channel on the digital box. I sent an email to them asking for it. Its hard to believe a country with such outdoor traditions/heritage doesnt have a real outdoor channel (OLN lineup is a joke except for the 3 fishing shows. Has anyone ever met a real lumberjack??? Nothing against Lumberjacks but judging by amount of air time they get one would figure they are everywhere. I wish my dog had a job).

Dan,

I sent WILD TV an email asking them to consider programming In- Fisherman, BASS and PWT etc.
They said they had negotiated with In-Fisherman but couldn't come to an arrangement.
I told them to offer up Shelley and Courtney in exchange but there were no takers...go figure.

I see on another site that that TSN has a schedule out for when they will be airing the complete Bassmasters Trail series. I remember when TNN used to have an awesome line up with IN Fish. Bassmasters, Roland, HAnk and that infommercial guy who fished his stocked bass pond using only strike king stuff. Now we have Shelley and Courtney. Hey where did the DIIMMMEESSSSTTOORREEE Fishermen go???

I'm not sure where they went but I'm glad they're gone. The way they carried on they quite likely in detox.

I hope this venture is a success and agree that Canada certainly could use something of its own. Each area of our country is so unique.

Outdoor news is something that I would like to see, given that our coverage is very spotty at best. Just my two cents.
Regards

Don Stokes
