i have had several lund used and new from THE WC 14 TO A 20' FISHERMAN i agree rebel class more of a cheaper version . The fisherman nice boat still wish i had at times for early spring and late fall for the full wind shield. I have a 2012 alaskan tiller with a 50 hp big tiller in my opinion probably one of the toughest lunds on the market all around for the size, excellent fishing boat. Someday i would like to have another tyee or fisherman for ealy and late season fishing but probably would not part with the alaskan. Doesn't have all bells and whisle but it has the main necessities . Good luck, hard to have the perfect boat all in one when you have smaller lakes and rivers and also places like BOQ nearby and Lake Ontario.

the "pro" series of lunds are much better constructed than the standard line.

definitely.

No they aren't.

They just use the word "Pro" for marketing. It's like "Tournament Series" or "Adventure Series". All Lunds are made with the same high quality and construction. The bigger models however, (Tyee, Baron, Pro-V) are made with more and heavier materials simply because they are large and need to handle engines up to 300hp (22ft Baron).

"All Lunds are made with the same high quality and construction".

If that were only the case.

Look at things like seats, seat bases, handles, rivets vs stainless nylock nuts/bolts, stringers, etc etc.

you will notice quality differences from the rebels to the adventure series to the pro series.

heck, when I compare my pro guide to the "equal" adventure series boat, there are hugh differences.

my boat is a 17' model.

I have compared my 16 Lund to Pro V's and Tyee's of the same year. The handles and steering wheels are the same. Seat bases were the same, gauges were the same. The carpet is the same material. The only differences I can see is the measurements. For example, a 14' Rebel will have a 1.75 inch thick transom and a Tyee will have a 3.75 inch transom. Both are made of the same quality, just one is thicker.

Forgive me for comparing it to iphones. An ipad is bigger than an iphone or ipad, but not made any better. Just MORE materials are put into it.

I don't think Lund says to its factory workers "ok, this one is not a Pro-Series, so cut corners and put the cheap stuff on it"

Just my opinion.
