I see tons of reports on pickerel, but how about the large mouth? Are they still active at this time of year, and are they in the same places they are in the summer or do they go deep?

Nice Buckets EvesR..... There's your answer right there johnny bass.

Fall may be the best time of year for catching bass/walleye/muskie. They're feeding like crazy getting ready for winter. Seems like as soon as October comes, most people want to go east of the ferry looking for the Trophy. Obviously Quinte is the place to be for trophy walleye late fall, but there should be bass and walleye in the 2-4 pound range scattered throughout the bay. Shallow and HUNGRY!!!
Either nobody is doing it, or nobody is talking about it. LOL

Good Luck

I would say nobody is doing it, we were all alone in the bay. I always look for weed beds that are not too thick in the areas were the water is transitioning from murky to clear

Guys are diffidently fishing for bass, just wouldn't call it a hot bite. I was lucky enough to get out with a buddy last week. belleville area.
Some guys just refuse to troll, fishing weed-lines will produce both walleye and bass this time of year.
Fineness fishing, weight less baits, is what was working for us, didn't have any luck on a spinnerbait

As Eves said above, look for weeds, good green weeds. People would be surprised how different their favorite spot looks in the fall. We were out last week with Berkley Pro Rob Bowen, ran all of our best spots and found that a lot of what was good.......is gone. But after some work, we had it dialed in.

Keep and open mind . Move if things are not working or if the weeds are dead. Example - we found that with air temps in the negatives.......fish were up crazy shallow even with the rapidly dropping water..... made no sense, and was the total opposite of what we were anticipating on the ramp.
Good luck! Post back some pics.

Here a pic of my brother with a fall Quinte largemouth.
