As Eves said above, look for weeds, good green weeds. People would be surprised how different their favorite spot looks in the fall. We were out last week with Berkley Pro Rob Bowen, ran all of our best spots and found that a lot of what was good.......is gone. But after some work, we had it dialed in.
Keep and open mind . Move if things are not working or if the weeds are dead. Example - we found that with air temps in the negatives.......fish were up crazy shallow even with the rapidly dropping water..... made no sense, and was the total opposite of what we were anticipating on the ramp.
