Lymphocystis and dermal sarcoma are two viral-borne skin diseases that affect walleye. Judging from the picture posted though, lymphocystis would seem more appropriate due to the location of the lesions.

Someone told me that the recommended consumption was less than 2 lbs per year.

At those levels I think I will keep it at zero!

Has anyone called and got the exact info from the ministry?

Here's the link to the interactive guide to eating Ontario Sport fish -

http://www.ene.gov.on.ca/environment/en/mapping/sportfish/index.htm

Furthermore here's the link specific to Lake Ontario/Lower Bay of Quinte -

http://www.downloads.ene.gov.on.ca/files/fishguide/en/advisories/LAKE44107644.html

Hope this helps.

Cheers G.

Thanks for those links.

Although they don't have the lake I normally fish the one next to it is WORSE than Bay of Quinte for walleye.

it says Mercury and other stuff are in the back lake. I would have thought the back lake would be fine.

Thanks ... from that site it appears a couple walleye a year out of there are not out of order.
