Got an invite from Fred a neighbour at the trailer park to join him and Scott another neighbour from the park to do some fishing. we started out front the cement plant and trolled east towards the ferry. marked quite a few big hooks right on bottom and a few marks in the 10-20 ft mark. worked the area for a couple of hours with nothing to show for it. we decide to join the boats east of the ferry and set up a 6 rod spread with reef runners, manns 20+ and td11's after about 45 minutes the outside board fires and Scott who had won the coin toss for 1st fish is up. The fish tore straight across the other lines and as Scott was reeling he had all 3 boards on coming in. Finally was able to unclip the board for Scott and it was obvious it was a good fish as it stayed down until it was about 20 feet away and when it came up it was a biggie. Once in the net we broke out the scales and it was bouncing between 12.11 and 13.8 until it settled and held at 13.4lbs That was it for the day with the exception of a fish that ripped the board for a few seconds then let go. The fish came on a reef runner set 70 ft back and waaaaaaay out to the side. trolling speed was 1.8 to 2.1 and water temp was 51
