I am looking to make a trip down the start of next week. Where is the best ice right now?Hough's, the bridge in Deseronto or out off of Big Island? I read earlier there were people on hough's last week, is there much ice left after this mild stuff? If it's good black ice it should continue to handle a bit more mild. Anyone that could give me feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

Last night there were a few guys out by potters creek and there were 6-10 guys out in front of the hospital. They got out there from "the county" side. The ice looks ok over there. I live on the county side of big bay and my neibour's dog fell thru over christmas. I would not trust big bay yet. As for point Anne i hear there has been a few people on it but haven't heard any one lately.ps the dog is OK just a little wet.
Good luck.

There is water at my shoreline, 1/2 mile east of Skyway bridge. Hwy #49.

It's got to get real cold for a number of nights to freeze back over.

My wife so a boat go by today!!!!!!!

Spoke to a buddy on Hay Bay just east of Shermans and he said the shoreline is bad but once you get past the weedline you should be ok. Prob. a good idea just to stay off this weekend, temps are in the minus 10 for most of next week, so should be ok for next weekend.
