Hey guys, this coming Saturday looks like it's going to be a pretty good day to be on the water. (as of now anyways) I would imagine there is going to be quite a few boats on the water. Not to sound like a broken record asking about launches, but I would like to avoid Picton launch if I can, and leave the launch and parking for the bigger boats that may not be able to go anywhere else. I'm in a 16 footer, and was wondering if McFarlands or Glenora Marina are useable. If the winds are low, I may launch at Desi and run down by water.

Thanks in advance

The dock is out at McFarlands so launching/retrieving would be a pain, especially solo but did notice there were a couple people using it on saturday.

Glenora launch is fine if you got 4 wheel drive, i had problems on Sat. The front tires are on the steel grate not the pavement (low water again) I was spinning the tires because the launch is covered in water on the grate with all the boats going in and out. i managed to get up but i thought i was going to be buying someone a case of beer to get my boat out of the water.
Cheers

Thanks Gordo...I have 4X4 so maybe I'll give it a go. Is that Glenora Marina, or Glenora Ferry launch you are talking about???
