May come up Sunday for first time this year and want to keep options open with some minnows ready to go. Where does one purchase these locally as to not bring in Toronto area ones. Close to the launch preferred. Thanks for any and all replies.

I think I asked this same question last year at this time. I had rented a cottage at Merland Park, and couldn't find live bait anywhere. I don't think you will find a bait shop in Picton unless someone has opened one up recently. Pro Tackle in Belleville I believe is your best bet. I still can't understand how Picton doesn't have a tackle shop. You could stop in at Tightline in Pickering on the way, and grab some beauty Emerald Shiners.

Pro tackle is the spot to go. Just pick em up on your way through Belleville.
