Hi! Guys:

Looking for someone or a place to get our boat winterized (115 Mercury Optimax and 9.9hp Mercury kicker motor) hopefully around the North Shore Hay Bay area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

You could take it to Glenora Marina just across the ferry on the Picton side.

Bud,

You should really find a friend that can show you how to winterize your boat yourself. Not only will you save money, you will know it was done right.

My husband would like for someone to show him how to winterize the boat but if you miss a step and don't do something - buying a new 115 hp or even the 9.9 hp is just too big of a mistake to make. You know what I mean!!

Had a Merc done at Hastings marine when i had one, i know its probably a haul for you, but they do a great job.

or... buy an E-Tec and winterize it right on the trailer with a garden hose in 3 minutes.... sorry to rub it in :)

Want to save money, do it yourself. After retiring from the military I became a marine mechanic and while working at the marine shop I saw the money being wasted by the average boat owner that was too lazy to learn to winterize their own equipment. I've taught quite a few friends here in the Napanee area how to do it and do it right. Some basic equipment is required at a reasonable price to get started, be taught how, when and why and after that, it's all cash in your pocket and a sound night sleep.
