Just a heads up to anyone who fishes at O'Briens bridge area of the Moira river. I was there on friday and returned to find my truck had been broken into. They broke a window opened the door and helped themselves to many items including my wallet, TDR trolling rod and Convector line counter reel, my sirius sattelite system and my boots, raingear and anything else i had locked in my truck. I have fished that river for years and have never had a problem until yesterday. Learned my lesson the hard way .... don't leave anything of value in your vehicle.

Really sad to hear that . What a violation ! I to fish the river for yrs and also leave things in my vehicle when parked there ... No longer now which is such an inconvenience. Was it dark out or still light ?
I know this is a long shot but the scumbag probably trolls kijiji for both buying and selling . Put a plea on there for him to at least save you a lot of grief by putting your now cashless wallet in a mailbox with your ID .
I know it's a longshot but I got my wallet back yrs ago when pick pocketed on the bus.

Sad to hear for sure, "locks don't stop thieves", we have to leave our extra gear at home or take it with us on the water as there will always be a lurker somewhere hoping to catch us off guard. Hope to hear you at least get your id returned.
Good luck!

I remember reading a report last winter where one of the guides had some of their gear stolen while fishing. However the stuff was returned a few days later I believe because the people were caught. Hopefully for your sake Dave all your gear will be recovered. I believe the location from the winter was at Huff rd.
