The low water levels and poor ramp facilities in our are are really frustrating. Because of the Remembrance Day events i did not have enough time to fish Quinte so after lunch I thought i would fish around Kingston...The only place i can launch my boat is Portsmouth Harbor and the water is so low I could not launch my boat and wont even try Collins Bay. Picton has a nice ramp and i don't mind paying for the privilege to use it but parking is an issue now. For a world class fishery we are pretty short changed on launching sites. PS how did the fishing go today?

When you say Portsmouth is un-launch-able what do you mean ? Not enough water for boat to float ? no where to get off boat to get to truck ??
I saw a boat launch there last week(or pulled out), and was planning on using it this week, there is two launches there, and floating docks still in on the north end.

I use the ramp to the south by the Coast Guard. I could not back far enough in to float the boat without dropping the axels off the end. The guy from the CG said there is not enough water for them to pull their boats out.Watch out for droppings.
