I don't know about picton bay but I was out last weekend near massissaga point(about 1 km before the point) and there was lots of ice. Last thursday there were open spots at the point. Suppose to be cold this week so it'll make ice fast but I've seen open water there in Feb before so be careful. Good ice off Potter's creek also. Good luck safe trip.

It has been a fairly good season. I've been out 3 times and have put fish on the ice every time. Cold last night so there should be lots of ice in Belleville, potters area. Good luck safe trip.

Anybody else fish massassauga pt. recently? Coming down Thursday am and dont`t feel like swimming...feel like fishing! I would like to go out at massassauga pt. but the ice there always puts a bit of a fear in me.Punch a hole its 8" and walk 15' punch another and its 3". So anymore info on this area would be appreciated and if you want to tag along let me know and we can arrange a meeting spot.
thanks in advance

I would love to join ya but I got to work thursday and friday. Your right that the ice off the point is iffy at best. Try Potters Creek area, lots of ice and lots of fish. out from Myers peir should also be good. Good luck.

how deep do you fish off of potters? I have been there once before and caught nothing. Anything I can look for in that area?

Hey Fishman,
Did you make it out thursday? I got out at potters around 4PM. A few guys out there. Didnt get a bite  . The weather system may have put them in a funny mood. I spoke with a few other guys that did the same. I hope you made out better than me.
