Overall had a good 3 day trip Friday to Sunday. Headed out to the Reach Friday with no luck until around 1pm. Got our biggest of the weekend, 11 pounds, on the outside board 175 back on the Eriedescent RR. 1 hour later had an 8 pounder on the Bleeding Olive TD11. Both fish just east of the lighthouse (don't know the name of it). Made it back out to the Reach on Saturday but after battling the winds and having our line run over by another boat taking a RR and 200 yards of braid with it, we cut our losses and headed into Picton Bay for the afternoon with no luck. Sunday headed back out east of the lighthouse in the Reach. Had no luck again until about 1:30 when we had the board go back on the Grey Ghost RR. While bringing that in, the dipsy with a renowsky started hammering, first Quinte double header for us. After sorting out that chaos, put the dipsy back out and didn't even have it back in the rod holder before another one was on. Ended up being just a 3 pounder. 5 fish overall for the weekend, our best annual trip yet. All fish successfully released except the 3# kept for the table. Just as we were reeling in on Sunday, the CO's stopped by and said most boats had 1 or 2 fish. Didn't see too many boats out east on Sunday and didn't see anyone drop that carcass so not sure who it could have been. We'll be back in 2 weeks to try again to top the 12# we got last year.
Matt
