Got out for the afternoon with PB Seeker (Pat). Launched at the ferry around 12:30 and headed out to the Keith's Shoal area. Set up 4 lines on boards, 2 TD11's, a Sebile Koolie and a Reef. About 30 minutes in, the board with the reef fires and fish on. Pat has yet to reel in fall Quinte gold so he was up. The fish ended up being 7lb11oz and was caught over 120 feet of water on a cranberry crusher reef that was 200 feet behind the board. We were doing about 1.6 mph at the time according to the Navionics app on my iPad.

We cruised through the area a couple times with no other takers so we headed inside the ferry to give it a go, but unfortunately we only ended with the 1 fish. Launch was still good at the ferry and it seems like there are less bait balls than before, but maybe just where we were fishing at the time. Looks like we have another week of warm weather so hoping for a couple more trips out. Good luck out there everyone.

Not bad for an afternoons work, many more posts recently getting one or two, certainly an improvement on a couple of weeks ago. Soon we should start seeing better and better numbers, for those that don't put their boats away.

Nice post

From the picture the water appears to be very calm, I hope is stays that way for the weekend.

Just want to thank Roaster(Rob) for allowing me to reel in the fish. He grabbed the rod as he was on rod patrol and I was driving the boat. After a brief little argument I agreed to take the fish on. Rob was too persistent in making me take the rod. We thought it may be a PB but it was just shy. Unfortunately for the fish the swim bladder was present so he made his way to the livewell. Once again thanks to Roaster and his generosity.

Nice fish Pat! And good on you Rob for passing off the rod, a good captain always makes sure to let his buddies get a fish! :) I'm heading out on Saturday, let me know if you're out there!
