Just wondering if there was any sort of adapter for charging a flasher battery without electricity. (truck cigarette lighter type of thing)
Unit is Humminbird Ice 45

Renting ice huts for 2-3 days, and everything is powered by propane, so I will have no electricity available.

A couple options I can think of is take another larger battery. A small car battery will run it for many days.
Or pick up a solar charger. Wire on a lighter socket to the battery & plug in the solar charger to it.

Check out the camping trailer sales, they have solar chargers with a high out put and will charge a spare battery or even the battery your using. My 2 cents would have the charger on a spare battery. Other option would be to pick up second battery, max amp hour possible and wire it in pos to pos, neg to neg. hope this helps

Cost wise it may be more efficient for you to buy a couple or spare gel cell batteries for $35 each. Generally with a LCD unit you can expect less than 8 hrs in the cold on a charge. Flashers tend to last a little longer, up to 3 days according to some. I find it always safe to charge each night that way your unit doesn't die on you half way through the next day.

Thanks guys. I was thinking about a second battery. I know I can get more than 10 hours on one battery, but I always recharge at night.
Will a fully charged battery lose power if it sits for a few days without being used??

As long as it is fully charged it shouldn't lose much, if any power, at all over the course of a couple of days.

If you have a lawn tractor (lawn mower) take the battery fully charged no cost will last all weekend.
