I'll back the Oldprincecraft with checking out Cowan. Canadian power and sail sat down with them a few years back and wrote a policy for boaters by boaters. From our website it looks like it might be available to non members and discounted for members and associates. Back when I had it they would discount for every coarse, layup and territory was negotiable. The would even do charter boats if you had enough coarses behind you..

But I'm with Steve, The amount I had the boat out in the last couple years it would cost around $200 an hr about the same as a motorcycle.

To get my insurance company to take out the layup requirement, I just paid an additional $115. They would not add another month of use (Dec), it was layup or no layup. I pay $475 before the added premium. Coverage is around $30,000 as it covers the 9.9 as well as an inflatable I have as well. Haven't got the policy with me, think its Nautimax. Used to be with Premier Marine, but there rates were even higher.
