It was Saturday at around noon before we finished our chores, hadn't been out fishing for awhile and it was a little late to make the trek to Glenora so we decided to try the waters closer to home. We launched of the south shore of Amherst at around 1 and started out troll in 25FOW using planer with TD11 purple and a fire tiger, downriggers with purple and silver Williams spoon and and a black and white spoon both behind small silver dodgers. Trolled the shelf in various depths without luck, so we worked our way around Grape Island and into the gap when the rigger fires, nice 10+ laker in. Picture and release.

Reset the rigger and into the gap a little further and the other rigger fires, another nice laker, picture and release. This one was a little smaller but had beautiful colour and not a stocker either

It is about 4pm now and my friend wants to go now but I convince to do another pass, it turned out to be a good idea, next pass the board looks to be running a little funny but I think it might be the turn I'm doing and then the rod rigger goes again and then the other and sure enough the board does have a fish, triple header!we get all the fish in anther 10lb and a 15lb and a 3lb lb which did not release, (he tasted very good)

Thinking that was a good way to end the day we packed up and headed to the launch.
