When out to Thompsons Point this afternoon,

Spoke to a local at his fish hut. He said he has only
seen one walleye caught this season. He showed me
the hut it came out of. It was almost half way across.
I walked out and fished next to it. Just over 36 feet of
water. There were perch all over the graph. Switched
to small Nils jigging minnow, similar to jigging rapala.
Caught a dozen perch. Kept 2 perch I would call Jumbo.
No luck with walleye.

There were a number of shacks on the steep north west shore.
Did not see much action. I could see someone fishing Sherman's
point fairly far out just at start of Reach. Maybe it was Superdad
again. Could also see a number of people out from Sherman's
ramp but could not see any indication of action even with binocs.

Came of the ice and ran into another local. He just had to inform
me that they were nailing fish in Deseronto today. He said his son
caught 5 today. I'm not sure how good it was at Deseronto today,
but I'm sure it was better than Thompsons.

My wife said I got a tan today. It was nice. Sitting there in the
middle of the lake I felt like I was in the middle of no where. Only
the odd sound of a far of car once and a while.

Good luck everyone,

BATMAN 8)

This has to be the weirdest year for Wallies up my way. Ottawa area.

I've never seen so many small ones caught :!: 8O
