I went fishing to an Oak Lake a few years ago with 5 other fisherman. It is a fairly small lake north of Belleville and the outfitter told us there there was nothing but pickerel and jumbo perch in the lake. We drilled over 120 holes caught one perch. If you want to see snowmobiles, that's the place to go. It is a main snowmobile trail and we literally saw hundreds of snowmobiles running all over the lake all weekend. The noise from the machines scared everything. Save your money look elsewhere.

This is oak lake north of Havelock not in Oak Hills, Stirling.

This Oak lake in Stirling (Oak Hills) is not private i fish it often. Lost of dink perch and hammer handles for pike. Heard tales of crappie But have yet to locate them. I will be out there this weekend. With this weather ice should be good but i have not been out to check so don't quote me on that lol.

Cheers
Dave

Oak Lake is not private. It has a public launch. It is not a part of the trail system. U might see a couple of machines on it but thats about it. As for the hut, the guy that owns it comes every weekend with a bunch of people and they keep every thing, thus the pike population has suffered over the last couple of years. The perch are small, no walleye. There are bass and a few crappie in there, although i've never caught one through the ice. Hope this helps.
this is Oak Lake in Stirling. The ice is good.

I have dove in oak lake a number of times and it is full of peach and small pike, did see some biggers one. i most abundant fish in there are mudcats at night when you turn your light on you are swarmed by hundreds of them.

I was raised fishing on oak lake, the pike have always been small, not from over fishing thats just the way it is. There are crappy in there but some one put them in there (i knew the guy who did) lots of pan fish to be had ( perch, rockbass, sun fish)and mudcat. the bass fishing in the summer is up and down got some big ones from there in years past. I also know there is the odd walleye in there! (Same gut put them in too) and i do know atleast 1 walleye has been pulled out in the summer 3 or 4 years ago. My father fished that lake day and night when we lived there and only got bass, pike, sunfish, perch, mudcat and rockbass, so anything else in there was added and is not naturally from that lake :D hope this helps
