Quinte Fishing

Hey guys I got out this morning around the under ground cable at the start of the reach. The ice was really choppy and bumpy from it melting and the wind bunched it up and it froze again so the walk out was hard. So if your going out be careful it's a hard walk and would be dangerous on a sled or bike as there is a lot of jagged ice. Once I got past that crap there was 3-5 inches of solid black ice. My day didn't start off good as I forgot my new flasher in the cottage and didn't want to do the walk again lol. The bite was slow as I only had one and caught a 5-6lber had to keep it as it devoured my hook. But glad to see safe ice. Now a little nap one 12 hour night shift and then a weekend if fishing!
