Another awesome night on the bay catching a total of 11 eyes with 8 going back down the hole. Some trophy size fish out there boy's and the bite is hot. I weighed one tonight at ? and she was a beauty and very healthy looking. I brought home 2 around 6lb and the Blue beauty at 6.3. The pictures do not do her Justice but you can see quite a bit of blue in the fins. It was quite dark when i caught her so i didn't even notice her color until i got her home and prob would have let her go except for the fact she bit very deep and bleeding bad... Fred...

I changed this post as i have no Real Proof because i didn't get a picture and without a picture it is just my word...

Fred,

Do you actually have a scale?

Where is the picture of the 16.5 lb fish?

I can't believe you even call the Blue you catch 9 lbs.

This is not a genuine blue pickerel as they are extinct. I was talking with Al Trannyman and he was telling me that this is a pigmentation variation. It was a pretty cool looking fish all the same and was pretty blue. The fins were quite blue and some blue along the back but the side's looked more normal. It was had to try and show the color with the flash of the camera but still a very cool looking eye for sure....

Sorry if I offended you chris but I was not talking about anyone in particular. Fred it is very interesting to see in all animals especially fish various pigments and color phases in animals. Kinda like tiger muskies very cool fish. Nice pics and again sorry if I offended. I guess this night shift has me a bit on edge. Tight lines guys and I hope the hogs keep comin through ur holes. Maybe you could send one over 10lbs toward my hole. Be safe and again my appologies for offending anyone.

LoL it's OK Chris. I don't let this kind of stuff bother me anymore. Fishing for me has never been about a photo opportunity and i don't always think to bring the camera or take time to get a pic when the bite is hot and i am trying to get a big girl back down before the cold kills her. It is not a PB for me but i wont go there either because the big hawg hanging on my wall and i are probably telling a fish story so i will just keep that to myself. We have seen the size of the eyes coming out of the bay the past few days and probably none of them are even posted on this site so therefore they don't exist and were never caught. I was way off by myself and nobody close by and i am not going to run all over the Bay like a damn ass looking for someone to take a picture of me and my big fishy. I don't post half the fish i get on here because it always stirs up some kind of debate and BS and i think i will post even less. There were a couple of guys that would be close enough and i did yell at them but got no answer so back it went before she was not able to go back. LoL

I have never attended the battle but I may this year. It would be nice to put some faces to the names. Is this event open to everyone and if so what could I bring or do to help out?
