why do the posting dates never change?

Was wondering why the posting dates on here all say 15/02/05. I've never seen a different date. I find it annoying + confusing. Also as a side note. Did anyone see the Ministry on the ice this season? If so where + some details please. Curious to know if they're out in the field or still on their computers sending porn messages back + forth. The story was in the papers awhile back, I'm not making it up.

Al, we got checked once on the bay this winter, and also saw them on Simcoe this winter.I guess they where on the reach one weekend.

We got checked out form Pt. Anne. 3/4 across big bay, where there was a big group of vehicles. Just checking licences they were on brand spanking new Ski Doos. I really hope they are doing thier jobs instead of sitting on thier butts at a desk.

There should be a report of some sort forthcoming if it is not out already (I doubt it is......they are far too slow in showing this to the public IMHO....to which there is no legitimate excuse to anything beyond 2 weeks following the season, if you are in the information gathering, summary game).

I found your comment regarding the email message most comical. By chance, do you recall where you saw this? I suppose in this day and age it is understandable, but I had to chuckle none the less.

Hello Don Stokes. I think the "ministry porn story" was in the paper either last year or the year before. If I recall 19 or so employees were either suspended or fired over it. Then I believe thet were all reinstated with back pay for the time they missed. Tried to find reference to it in newspaper archives, but it is like an X-file + seems to have vanished. I also found it of interest, but like most detrimental government news....poof!!

I think that 15/02/05 is the date you joined and not the date of the post.

Each post has a date assigned and is shown on the right column with the last posters name and date.

We were checked by MNR people on snow machines the first time we were out on Long Reach, actually the were doing a creel survey and not checking licenses as I believe they were MNR people and not Conservation Officers - there is a difference. Only Conservation Officers and OPP ( I think) can request to see your license.

Fished Point Anne all winter,never got checked once,seen them fly down the bay.Last year was a different story,I bet we got check so many times,my buddy invited them home for supper. :lol:

we were up the 17 th ---21 @sunset farms / cabins
we were checked for our licence and asked if we knew about the slot limit
the guys were driving new ski dooooos [nice ones]
they were very nice to us.

Got checked on lake Consecon once. One CO. on a snowmobile. He asked to see my license that was it.

Saw them more this year than ever before. At least half dozen times...in the Ottawa area anyway :!:
