My wife is gonna kill me for this thread but I don’t care. I miss her.

As some of you know Wendy and I have been on a “battle” since June of last year. She was diagnosed with stage 3 aggressive breast cancer and she had surgery in August. Complications arised from the surgery with a nurse in our home very day for a month or so and she started chemo in I guess it would be Sept/Oct I’m not sure? The chemo was very tough on her and she is one of the strongest women I know. She finished chemo on the 3rd week of Jan 2013 and had a break for a while before the 16 treatments of radiation she is about to receive. This was her first week of radiation treatment and she is in a motel in Kingston all week and I miss her. We are swamped with work and thankfully her mother went up for the week with her to keep her company. We speak daily and she seems to be doing great as always and alreadt told me there is open water at the dock I don’t think I’ve learnt more about life than from this woman in the last 5/6years. She is amazing and I’ll tell you why.

She loves to fish as much as I do!!! I never have to hear the “ oh, you never want to spend time with me” bull crap. My girl loves to fish !! She has said to me, on occasion , “ do you have enough beer hun? You’re going to be out there for a while, let me make you a sammich “. I’ve only been able to get her out on the ice maybe 6 times this year however if she had it her way, she’d of been out all 42 days I enjoyed on the hard water this year, so far….. 8) 8) 8) 8)

Our neighbors and friends are great !!! They plowed a path for Wendy to walk out to our lil “community”. Awesome folks in this area, let me tell ya.

Wendy coming to fish hard for the weekend of Feb 22nd to 24th. She fished all three days steady putting in on average 6-8 hours per day.

Wendy jigging hard..

This was all she had to offer after a lot of hours but she says it was worth every minute.

We didn’t get to fish as much as we would like this last year but when she gets better I want to make one of the most memorable trips for her ever!! Salmon fishing is her next challenge and I personally want to book her a muskie trip in the fall as well..

Take care and be safe out there,

Tight lines !!
Randy

I am lucky Red that's for sure.

The biggest pulled out from our lil area on the Trent was 11 lbs walleye through the ice, caught by my neighbor Jeff a couple of weeks ago.

I hope all works out for a great recovery. I have enjoyed Wendy's company when she worked with me years ago and she always has such a positive attitude and happy outlook. Thoughts and prayers for you both.

Matt.

Dad had 18 inches of colin cut out and a year of treatments. Really kicked his ass. 3 years free golfs 140 games a year and several fishing trips when he is in town. Kickin ass at 80 hoping u do as we'll.
