In need of some tech advice.
I downloaded the Navioniccs PC app last night, plugged in the Navionics Gold chip to update. It says I have 323 days left to update, thats fine.
My issue is that it said that there is not enough room on the card in order to update. Is this a common occurance?
Any and all help is appreciated

Thanks

I haven't run into that on any updates that I have done. I sent an email to Navionics to see what they have to say about it. I'll let you know what I hear

I got in touch with Navionics and they said you should call customer service with your chip in hand and access to a computer. They will get your information and if it is an issue with media size, they will work to get you a working chart. They'll also make sure you're doing everything right in the process to rule out user error. Here is the number you can reach them at 1-800-848-5896

Lawren,

Very much appreciated. I am sending my chip back and they will be sending me a replacement.
The problem is that my chip is a 1GB and the new ones are 2GB

Thank you again

J

You sure can. About a year and a half ago Navionics came out with their freshest data update program. If you buy a new map you have 60 days to register it and when you do you are entitled to 1 year of free updates.

Soon they will be releasing an update chip that will allow you to update an older map for 1 year as well. We hope to have those within a month.

I should be getting the new Chip tomorrow, extremely fast as it was sent in last Thursday.
Great customer service, second only to Radioworld of course
