First timer here on the board and Sunday will be first trip to the Bay.Cousin and I only have a 16 ft bass boat with no ( I mean NO !! ) protection from wind. Sunday forecast is for 25 km West wind, is this doable in our boat? Was thinking of the cee-ment plant I've been reading about and not too proud to sit and try jigs with minnows. Under the bridge at night is also an option if the wind is too strong.

Comments from the more experienced fishermen would be much appreciated.

Thanks, shagdrrotten

In a 25 to 30 k wind you will get 2 footers on the opposite shore at Picton.Might be a bit much for a small bass boat . If you stick to the lee shore or close to it you will be fine.

You should be good if you stick to the cement plant side. That is if it is a true west wind, you should be fine. Deep water comes in close on that side and you should be able to do fine. One thing about bass boats , there awesome in the summer but brrrrrrrrrrrrrr later on!
