Well, finally got out to fish the Picton area with Hay Bay Larry, Launched from Picton at 1630 and headed out in front of the Cee-Ment plant, more closely to the McFarlenes Launch area with some flat line trolling.

Before we launched we met some chaps who had landed ten fish off their downriggers, forty feet down they said.

Ok, I've got lures that will get close - back to the trolling..........

Coming out of 32' towards the 36' level - Superdad had a fish ON.

Hay Bay Larry deftly handling the net made short work of the 10.2 lbs walleye. High Fives around the boat. Short toast to the Lake God.

Started the troll again, into the wind and towards the Cee-ment plant, hardly travelled five minutes - Superdad had another fish- HBL with the net scooped out a 7.2 lb walleye.

What's the magic lure today????????? A BIG L.H.F. (one ounce size) Silver and Blue............

Trolled back towards Picton Bay and had to stop fishing. The evening looked perfect, the wind had died in the Bay and the Harbour was like glass, it could have been a stunning night. C'est dommage.

Our confidence level is brimming, waiting for Saturday next and the get-together - Let's hope the weather cooperates.

Tight Lines
