Well... opening night was a bit of a bust... only a few.cats and a couple of small pickies. Saturday night was different. Just casting off the dock and walking my shoreline, got a dozen 1 lb and smaller smallies... all thrown back and kept 3 that were between 2 and 4 lbs. I cleaned 2 of them but left the one one the stringer. I did not know the snapping turtles were so aggressive here in the Trent. Only a head left by morning. I left the stringer in at 3 am and by 6:30 am ol snapper had his breakfast. Any ideas or tips from anyone that have had run ins with aggressive turtles would be appreciated. I built a "live well" out of PVC and thick metal screening to deter them but where there's a will there's a way. Thanks in advance :)
