Looking for a cover just to trailer with and cover my boat when sitting at dock. I was wondering about the ones they sell at princess auto. They have the classic series that has a 5year warranty. This is just a 16 ' v hull and sits in garage all year long and travels about once a month and sits at the dock for that weekend.. I have priced a custom cover and went from 550 to 750 and for the amount of use not really a wise investment for me. This isn't my last boat ether so don't want to spend the cash on something I will upgrade in a few years. Has anyone had experience with the classic cover or anything else that is less than$150.00 and had good success. Thanks KMBF

Like you, my boat lives in the garage. I also have a Classic boat cover that I purchased from Cabelas in Edmonton. It is the travel one with straps that go under the bottom of the boat and is typically not good for docking....unless you can convince the Missus to swim under the boat with the straps. But if yours is like mine, she doesn't have a sense of humour in that regard.

If you want to see one before you buy, PM me.

I bought a classic cover from Walmart for $160 I think. It has the straps and a bunggy cord around the bottom of the cover. I would think if you got the right size one it due for travelling and sitting at the dock. I use mine for my boat sitting in my yard, with no issues.
