My Dad and I got out to fish on Sat the 13th and fished around the Old Church, fished for a couple hours and landed a couple of walleyes over 15 inches.

KInda warm out there so we shut down and headed back.

Sunday was a good day for me and we headed out to Thompsons Cove and had a fish inside of five minutes, they kept biting and we had nine in the first hour, kept fishing a little while longer as the heat was building, pulled the pin on the fishing after 2.25 hrs. We landed a total of 14 fish on the Uzick Spinner - what a Killer lure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, a friend asked me to take him and his 9 year old grandson from California to catch a fish, sure let's go. Headed out to Thompsons again and found the track from Sunday and set the lad up with a rod and told him to let out 50'. I was getting my rod ready to fish when he said he thought he had one. Sure enough the lad landed a nice 14.5 incher - His First Fish Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a thrill for him and his Grandfather and it made me feel real good too.

Trolled for another 20 minutes and he was fishing by himself and he said he thought he had another, sure did!!!! I netted a nice 15.5 incher and he was a happy camper. Back to shore for pictures and an anatomy lesson about walleye- young lads are sponges when it comes to guts and bones.

It was a good weekend..

Stay Tuned.

Thats awesome. I think taking someone out and seeing them catch a fish that they may not have if it were not for you is ten times better that landing your own.

Just curious, are the walleye biting again all over the bay? I have a couple neihgbours who are oldtimers and want me to take them out on the bay for some walleye. I have been holding off because of all the negative reports about the walleye fishing lately.

Any info would be appreciated I would sure love to get them out and be able to bring back a feed for them.

Well done Superdad!! I bet that'll be the highlight of the young lad's trip from California!
