I tend to agree with you Jim, colour on days of changing weather conditions and day and night visibility colour seems to have made a difference out of my boat. Bruce has brought out some interesting points and findings though to consider and just wanted to bring this info to the board when it was questioned.

Colour makes a massive difference if you dont know that fish sticked ponds LOL. Get a grip people

I am know expert but I would say color makes a big difference the same as size but I think color is more important.

In my experience I can say without a doubt that colour does play an important role and has been on many occasions the difference between not catching fish and catching fish using the same size bait in a different colour.

Here in the river a #3 blue fox in fire tiger catches me almost 4 times as many fish as a silver or gold #3 and they are exactly the same except the colour bass won't even go for the silver or gold only smaller pan fish, I also have a bright orange one and it has yet to catch me anything.

Back when I used to fish the river in and around Peterborough a mepps black fury with the orange dots caught me (small) muskie like crazy, at least one almost every time I went but not if it had the green or yellow dots as a matter of fact I caught nothing ever when using anything but the one with the orange dots (must have the hairs on it too) and a black fury has yet to catch me single fish out here either but the fire tiger blue fox works like nothing else.

I have been able to trigger fish just by switching colour on many occasions which is why I asked what people felt was better for different situations.
