Hello Folks,

I am, once again, seeking your help with our fall 2013 Bay of Quinte Volunteer Angler Diary Program (Walleye). If you would like to participate this year, please respond to this email and let me know. For those of you that respond, I shall send out a Diary package in the mail in a week or two. This year’s Diary has a couple of minor changes but is generally much the same as last year’s. If you know of an avid Bay of Quinte walleye angler that may not have participated last year, please pass along this email and encourage them to contact me.

Thanks very much for your help,

Jim

This is really a great program that Jim has going for walleye information. I would suggest that even if you only fish Quinte 3 or 4 times in the fall you should get involved.

It only takes minutes to fill out the boat diary and the info that the OMNR receives is a great help to their data collection.

Al

Did my first entry last night. Great program and it was very informative at the results session last year.

Wow...that was quick. Received an email from Jim Tuesday morning, and had my paperwork in the mailbox Thursday morning.

falsetto...I believe the program is for fall fishing only, (by boat or shore I suppose) not ice fishing. Although at this rate, you may be ice fishing before winter actually begins....lol Maybe send Jim Hoyle an email and see what he says.

ahhhh ok, I hadn't noticed that part. Would think you could obtain a lot of information thru the ice season as well though. Maybe weather conditions could hinder being able to measure weight etc the fish and still promote safe release though.
