It was nice to see a new prize category that everyone had a chance to win, but I don't think hidden weight is the way to go. While trolling back into Merland Park on Sunday afternoon we passed at least 6 floaters. The fish looked fresh and I am assuming they came from the weigh in station. They all looked to be between 5 and 8 lbs. They sure didnt have a chance at the leader board and would probably still be alive if not for the Hidden weight.

I don't think what you saw were fish live released I saw dead fish everywhere a lot of them were sheephead, but there were a lot of walleye as well. I wonder what the true reason is for such a massive amount of dead fish?
