Just looking for oppinions on suzuki 115 hp fourstroke for my 19 ft grew center console boat. Just looking for info on this engine

GREAT job in looking past the anchors - errr, i mean mercs.

I'd buy that motor in a heartbeat.

Suzuki's are fantastic motors.

Head on down to queenston in January/February/March.

You will see Yammy's (mainly), Honda's, and Suzuki's. Great choice.

Oh wow. Thanks for the input guys. Currently I'm running a old 130 yamaha. I can get the zuki fir 9500 and another 1500 for the computer to turn it up to 140. Controls and install included in the price.

i've run a yammy for 10 years now and if I had to change, my first choice would be a suzy.

they are lighter than the honda's - while both are equal in quality. So if you take the weight factor in question, one could argue they are even better than the honda.

as long as the motor checks out, i'd say your going to love it.

many of the big starcraft superfisherman - my favourite big water boat - come with suzuki's.

one of lake ontario's best salmon fisherman (pressman) does all his trolling with his 130hp (i believe) suzy, no kicker motor. that says a lot about the motor.

The biggest problem with Suzuki is you will think your fuel gauge has stopped working. I had a 2001 60 HP and now have a 2005 70 HP and my next motor will be a Suzuki. Hadley's service is tops.

I have been running a Johnson 140 hp 4st (actually a Suzuki in Johnson colours) on a 186 prince craft for 11 years and consider it to be the best motor I have ever owned. Not one single problem and she still fires up at the touch of the key.

I did not purchase a Suzy to start with, as I had service concerns and I travel a lot - with the Johnson label/sticker I could get service at most old OMC dealerships. I'm not sure of dealer network for Suzuki at present.

Suzuki is a good make... personally i would save and get an Evinrude, preferably the HO models. You can't beat them these days for reliability and winterizing right in your driveway in 5 minutes tops. The last tech i talked to said they had everyone pretty much over a barrel.

If you just want a good workout, get a merc, you will be rowing for hours.

I loved the Suzuki that was on the boats I've been in. Never a problem except forgetting to turn them off...they're amazingly quiet and fast!

I think I'll stay away from the evenrude E techs. I've delivered way to many power heads for them. A scary amount

I have a 2001 Evinrude / Suzuki on my 17ft Sea Nymph never had any problems with it.
Use it fishing, trolling and towing the grand kids in a tube has a ton of hours on it.
Very quiet good on fuel and easy to service. Would be my motor of choice again.

In have a 4 year old Suzuki DF 140 mounted on a Starcraft Superfisherman 180 that is awesome. This is my second Suzy over the years. It is very responsive and excellent gas mileage. The same mileage as my old 60HP merc from 1991!!!
I troll with it and it never misses a beat.
