Hey, Coming down on the weekend of Nov 16th and was wondering if there are any other cottages or motels besides Merlands close to the water that would be open this time of year... Seem's like not many are ?? We like fishing the Telegraph Narrows and in and around the Picton area.. Any help would be so appreciated as I'd like to book it now....

Thanks,
Tizz

You could try Perfect View Resort. They are in Hay Bay by Sherman's Point. You may have to launch at the end of Sherman's Point if the water levels have dropped. It's two minutes to the public launch if theirs is to shallow. I know they are open but they may be booked

Fishing the Narrows and Picton area, then something half way, like a cottage on Hay Bay might be the trick.

Have a look at Perfect Vue, might be the answer.

PS Big Derby on the 16th, being headquartered at the SHermans Launch Ramp - FYI

You can also try the Picton Harbour Inn its not as nice as a cottage but the rates are pretty fair and its a roof over your head, can keep the boat in the water at the docks as well, walking distance to downtown.

I've stayed at Merland Park the last 3 years, but this year I will be staying in a hotel in Napanee. The cottages are nice, but a hotel is alot cheaper. Unless you have a group of people. There are a few launches within about a half hour drive, so you also have a few options on what areas you can fish.

Tizz,

If you are planning on fishing the narrows then look up County Shores (formerly Fosters Fishing Centre).

They are only a few hundred meters from the narrows and have full suites available with full kitchens for groups large or small. I believe they also have Satellite TV and WiFi. (Nice to have for the evening games).

They have a launch and it's only a quick 15 min drive to Picton launch.
