I've been browsing this forum for the past little while and am totally amazed how eager people are to share information. The knowledge contained in each topic is amazing.

Does anyone fish or have in the past fished the Bath Hydro Plant, from the shore?

I've fished there a few times and headed there last night for a quick fix. I've seen people catch walleye there, and myself have caught salmon in the fall.

Any tips on anything from lure choice, time of day, season and types of fish would be appreciated.

CHEERS!

i've fished from shore at that little parking spot before the turnoff that goes to napanee, never caught anything, if there are salmon there I'd like to know when, got my salmon rod collecting dust.

They come in at the water discharge across from the plant in the fall. I've heard of people catching trout there in the spring too.

There were a lot of huge carp swimming around last night.

I may head there tonight if not Napanee.

As much as I have not been fishing there in about 5 years I have seen a few trout pulled out.

From what I have seen of it, I believe an Ontario record carp could easily come from those waters. Some Europeans would be drooling at the opportunity to fish for them.

If you do fish, please be safe and abide by the No Trespassing signs. The thought of falling into that small gorge with all that curent is scarey.
