Your right on Steve. I was informed by my guide at a very popular Char river that a very well known US angler would sit on an island shore in the river and drink whiskey till it was film time. Then they would throw a frying pan attached to his line out into the current to show the fish fighting scenes and he would then pose later with char cought by native guides! It happens a lot but hey time is money so.... But on another note I am very happy for Ashley and what ever comes her way. She is very down to earth and will be a great ambassador for our sport and I look forward to seeing what she can do as well as where she can take this. Good Luck and you go girl!!

I get what you're saying guys about what happens with TV shows etc but that is what I thought was interesting with this show. She didn't try to come across as a know it all, she showed scenes where they didn't get fish, where they got non targeted fish and the guides in almost all the segment had just as much camera time as she did. Heck she even said she just started icefishing a few years ago and gave the guide credit for that.

The intentions of my previous post were not meant to criticize Ashley in any way, or take away what she has accomplished. I just feel that if anyone is going to represent Quinte Region or Land O Lakes fisheries on national television, there would be a few people ahead of her that have put in a lot more time and have accomplished more and maybe they deserve it more.

Steve,

Again, I saw the latest episode and was very impressed. Especially, with Joe's commentary.

I hope Ashley appreciates the co-guides that have spent numbers of free hours with her.

Ashley, Please don't forget them, in your newly found success.

i'm sure she wont.

Ashley is much more down to earth than many of the fishing hosts you see on tv today.

it'll be a nice change to have a knowledgeable female angler on tv!

Steve,

My wife was impressed by her enthusiasm and knowledge of ice fishing.

Maybe now my wife will take interest in another fishing TV host, other than Scott Martin. lol
