Jamie,

I have been using a Thermal Trekker for the last four years and I have a few comments you. I have the nylon runners and a tow bar. It tows well behind a 4 wheeler or snow machine. Recently I have been pulling it by hand. If you pull the hut by hand in more than a couple inches of snow it pulls like a ton of bricks. The front edge of the sled is a 60 deg angle. Should be 30 to 45 deg so snow does not build up in front of sled. I built a smitty sled and it pulls great even in 6” we had a couple weeks ago. As for the tent, because it’s thermal, it is thicker and doesn’t sound like a freight train in the wind. It comes with 3 extra support poles. I usually only use the back wall pole. I installed a Frabill tie down at each corner of the hut. Sure comes in heady on windy days. Make sure you ge a travel cover. They are a better cover than clam makes. Most times I fish with only one seat installed. Gives you room for all your stuff.

tks for the advice. I would be either pulling behind my sled, or using my smitty sled if walking, so I should be good. the hard part is finding one as I don't think Frabill makes this model anymore, having switched to the Aegis, which has not gotten great reviews.
