I am a fairly new resident to the Brighton area and am looking for property or areas to hunt. I have been hunting for over twenty years, just looking for areas closer to home. If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Getting landowner permission will likely take time and nothing but good old foot work and knocking on doors will be in order.

As far as public land just to get you going, there is 400 acres of crown land in the Brighton Provincial wildlife area just north of the 401 off Carmen road where the deer, ducks, geese and turkeys roam.
A bit further north of Wooler is a large crown land area as well for deer and a few grouse.
Presquile Provincial Park offers duck hunting. Check for their season, fees and hunting rules.

These areas are well known, but they are good places to start while you find other areas in the meantime.
