Word on the street is fishing is super hot in northport there is $5 dollar parking at County shores and the guy also sells minnows and has a nice tackle shop so its one stop shopping its eems to be coughing up some real nice fish right now. its a great year for ice and this area in past years has been really hard to get on so im sure the guy would love the extra business this year has to offer so better get while the getting is good . as always check the ice as you go this is not an area to just walk all over assuming its gonna hold up your truck or ATV . good luck........... big bay is always hot actually I think its hot all over east and west I have fished 3 times now and im up to 20 fish and Friday I caught a limit of very nice fish fishing blind yep forgot to load my flasher, I must be getting old lol . and yes maple its the time of plenty lol I heard some bad reports from a very reliable sorce dez ice has been hurt a bit so watch your step in current areas boys lots of water has pushed the ice down in places current hurt that ice from below we need some good cold to lock it all up tight again safest ice now will naturally be big bay and slack water areas if you wanna bike around snow is gone so it will be tough for the sleds , good luck, be safe
