Hey quintefish brethren,

We're making our annual trip to quinte this weekend and staying at perfect vue. Aside from some malalligned posts I read, I hear that haybay is quite slow.
Does anyone know if the quads are getting out there?
Any up to date reports of walleyes on the ice?
I hear they are picking a couple at thompsons.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Reg bikes are moving around a little better but there is lots of deep slush pockets and with this weeks forecast I'm sure the slush will become more and more troublesome. My advice launch as close as you can to where you are going to fish to eliminate long runs and increase your chances of getting stuck.

I stayed at Perfect Vue 2 weeks ago (not really up to date) but we had an easier time getting out from Shermans launch with the quad. It was a little rough right where you get on the ice, but it was a lot worse at Perfect Vue shoreline. Like Maverick said, with the warmer weather coming, and I believe rain in the forecast, it will probably get worse. Huffs is only a couple miles down the road, so that may be another option. A little shorter distance to get out if you have to leave the quad behind and walk.

Hope this helps!!

I was thinking the rain would knock down the depth of snow. Yes it will create more slush but the overall depth of the junk we have to drive thru should be less. Meaning if its 14" deep now my machine only has 9" clearance. If we melt 5 or 6" which im thinking is very possible based on the 30mm rain forcast and plus temps for 3 days. meaning I atleast wont bottom the pan out.

Might be a hopeful dream but we can always dream. lol

got out yesterday at Thompson point , tough run back to the truck, we have 2 Polaris atv's , no chains , dragging a 2 man clam, almost got bogged down a couple of times but we made it , I also hope this mild weather knocks the depth of snow down a bit :) oh , lost 6 fish, landed one 6.5 lbs, and buddy landed a 15.5 lb sheepy, that was a fight to remember......!
