Hi Dave, did you have any cutbacks with tags in your area. We were cut to. No group bull tags,
28 group tags for cows, 63 single bull tags and 64 cow tags. As I will not shoot a cow, I will be
going after the real culprit, the Wolf. Good luck in the draw Dave.
Donn.

Our deer camp is going to try to draw a tag for area 57 this season, although its an area where we have to even apply for a calf tag. Lord knows we wouldn want the Golden Lake reserve to go hungry next year. We have a bunch of older boys in the camp, use that phrase rather loosely, that want to give moose another try. Regardless we will go to camp and clear trails and shooting lanes for the deer hunt and do some fishing. Chances of us drawing a tag there will probably have the same odds as lotto max !!!

Yes, chances of getting an adult moose tag this year are very slim. On a recent trip to the WMU 5
last month to fish Lac Suel for a week, my hunting partner was quite amazed at the number of
healthy looking cow moose, with twin calves, plus one cow had triplets. So the winter was not to harsh on all wildlife. Being a local to the area my hunting partner says we should have no problems finding
Something to scare the hell out of. So MNR bring on our tags.
Good luck to all my fellow hunting buddies.
Donn
