Well it's that time of the season again and Grizz and I have been back doing some bear baiting. I am a rookie at this and learning from Chuck about bear hunting.

Here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks. Smaller bears coming early in the morning and in the evening. Big bears showing up during the night.

From what I can tell from the 2600 pics from the last 2 weeks I think I have 7 different bears hitting the bait. I moved my bait site about a mile farther back into the bush due to the fact that last season my bears left the bait the 3rd week of Sept. after the bird season and Elk hunt started. I believe I was just too close to a major ATV trail. Will be interesting to see what happens this season.

Al

Wow nice pics. Are you using the newer HD Bushnell cameras?

No. they are not the newer HD cams.
Those pics are from an X-8 and I just set the Bushnell Trophy Cam up to take 30 sec videos this week.

The locals think that bear that looks like it has a collar got caught in a wolf snare when it was a cub.
