I love Rapala, but I wouldn't consider them for all fishing applications.

I just got word "Goby" you'll need a Canadian App store login to access the app. doable in the States. No plans to launch the App in the U.S.A but that could change with continued interest. Thanks for inquiring. Wish you luck with the App and fishing!

Is it good for hard water?

Being a "Rapala" app the JiggingRap and SnapRap will be your main ice fishing choices(and great ones at that) but your soft water choices will be far more numerous due to their extensive product line.FYI interesting fact is that the original Jigging Rap was designed to be casted in open water and has a very erratic action to trigger aggressive strikes.
