I am going to Belleville for a bed and breakfast for a few days, I am looking for a nice place to go ice fishing. And maybe some hot baits that are working there.

I've been told Merlin's is a good place to go, and is close to the bed and breakfast I am staying at..

Cheers,

From what is being said on the board, you might stay in Belleville and fish off the dock.

Picton is a bit of a run and can't say how the ice is.

Will know better on Saturday and I'll post what we see when we visit the county and Hay Bay.

Thanks for the info, I found a place that will be open for sure. I know a Guide up there named Captain Jim. He's told me there are some fish being caught up on the North Shore of Big Island. I'm gonna try my luck there, or try Fish Finder Charters just outside of belleville.

Merland Park does not seem to like renting out huts unless you are staying at their cabins, I was quite disappointed with that. However, I guess they make more money renting cottages.

What's working out on the lakes anyways? I'm looking to use some Swedish pimples and Mr Champs with some minnows. Anyone have any favs they'd like to share? I'd be looking to go for some pickerel or maybe some pike.

Cheers,

Merland park I rented a boat there last year had to put a huge down payment on it to take it to my camp site in Deseronto, treated me like a little kid and will never get my business ever again! If you have money this guy will do anything for ya!

Kinda of like this year's meet and greet. $10 to enter the contest if you stay there or $50 to cover the free sponser table $0 for the derby and $40 to park your boat. Or $40 for the fresh caught meal. A lot of Mc D's.
