Scott, i'm running a Helix 5 with the + card in it but noticed the text on the downloaded maps is quite small, is there a way to increase the font size through Navionics or is this a question for Humminbird ?

Thanks

I know some chart plotters have what is called "easy view" and it magnifies navigational aids and font. Look for that in your settings. I don't know the Helix 5 well so not 100% sure. I'll ask some of the other specialists that have a Humminbird and find out for sure.

So apparently the Helix 5 does have "easy view". I asked for the menu prompts to find it and will pass it along when I get them.

Scott,

Pepe has a navionics card for sale that I may be interested in (I dropped my Platinum Plus in the water last weekend!). Could you go to the listing in "Buy and Sell" and let me know if the card can be updated with sonar charts?

Thanks,
Scott Sheridan.

Ohhh dropping your platinum plus in the water was a bad thing!! Lol. Sorry I know that's a cheap shot.

I responded in the buy and sell thread too, but yes you can use either card to unlock a Navionics Updates card. That is your best option. A Nav updates once activated is the same thing as a Nav+. You can download any area in North America and it will have the SonarChart layer as well as freshest data for a year.
