Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know there are several commercial nets just east of Keith shoal from the point with the small cottage on it, extending east along the south side of Adolphus reach. The one just west of the point with the cottage (big metal permanent deck/dock and cantilevered dock) starts relatively close to shore and extends out towards the middle of the lake about 500 feet. The next one east of this towards the bat cave starts almost in line with the point and extends about 500 feet. The last one further down is quite a distance from shore and again, about 500 feet. These burgers are poorly marked with a plastic bottle float on each end. They are placed where most people troll along the south side. There may be more towards Keith shoal but I didn't kayak that far up. The last one is just west of Ross Eaton lane (there's a point with a catamaran on its side)

I just wanted to let everyone know when you are trolling. They went in this afternoon. I think there is also some on the north side as well as I saw the same vessel across that side and may have been laying nets over there as well.

Let's hope so, cause they really are placed where I see most trolling for eyes.

Nets appear to have come out today which is great. Some are left way to long without checking them. There's some in a small Bay just east of the bat cave that has a dead cormorant that looks like it swam into the trap net, tried to surface and got stuck. It's pretty bloated and decomposing and quite the nose pleaser!

Gill nets are run every day. Hoop nets or trap nets are live trapped & live release and are usually lifted every 2 to 3 days. More often in warmer water temps.
