Took the tour 49 south across the Skyway Bridge, Picton Harbour, Glenora and east out south shore Hay Bay.

Everything is froze over through Telegraph narrows to Napanee River and south to Picton Bay. Thompson Point south and east to Amherst is open.

Hay Bay is frozen over.

Picton Harbour is frozen.

Didn't see a soul on the ice or in a boat on the water. Didn't go as far as Finkles. Might have been a brave soul out there. Pretty windy.

Didn't try the ice but a few of days below freezing should do it. Fingers crossed.

Sinker doesn't have a clue what he's talking about! This a thread on long reach ice and he's saying "lots of guys out there". BS!! There's nobody on the ice at huffs cause there's 2 monster pressure cracks that opened up. We went by there yesterday and could see open water.

That's what I was getting at. Long Reach is full of current and I doubt it will be even remotely safe for at least another week. That was a BS post if I ever saw one.

Sinkers post was not about long reach it was about the whole bay, yes it was in this thread but wasnt intended to be taken as the way people are reading it . He could have been alittle more detailed in saying so but wasn't. I know him personally ,he would never lead people astray or send them out on ice that he didnt know was safe. He is being miss understood, I wont say its not his fault , but he none the less he is being miss understood. .....Hanco

Napanee river is not frozen, ice along the shoreline, channel is wide open for most parts.

Headed out this morning with plans to fish shermans. Didn't make it 30' off shore and the spud went through. So. Off to huffs we went. Started out there. There is some openings around shore! We started walking out spuding our way. And there is a little pressure crack that runs east and west with the reach. Roughly 150 yards out. So we said we will fish here for now 25' of water. After fishing for a hour with a couple marks but no takers I stood up and looked at the crack and there was 2 dead shad in the crack. I spudded as close to the 2" wide crack and walked over it. There was a guy that took a 10' flat bottom boat over it just in case as well. After fishing in our spot until 9 we packed in no fish to call for. But one perch. We were on 3-3 1/2 inches of ice. And the guy out in the boat came in and we were talking and he had 4" out there. The ice is varying a lot and changing constantly. Be safe and always check the ice
