That's just great, our fishing and hunting stuff will go up in price yet again when the competition gets slim.

They sucked anyway. Worst service I've ever had was there.
No loss in my opinion.

I liked GM when I first got into walleye fishing around 7-8 years ago. The one in Watertown had tons of reef runners and other baits and were cheap. It's a shadow of its former self now. Empty pegs and high prices. I always go to look if I'm in NY but always leave empty handed it seems.

With the Cabelas/Bass Pro deal rumoured to be falling apart competition will be fine. And maybe one less big box will drive independents like Fat Nancys etc

most of them got a start with mail order then they thought why have a warehouse when we can have a store. the prices instantly went up a fancy store costs so much more and adding all the employees to the payroll just drove the mark up even higher .... less is often more and I sure hope it helps out the small shops in business they will be able to order at a cheaper price expressly if they can get shipping down the only reason the cost is so high is because apparently we are willing to pay the price they ask lol tell me why we pay 45 bucks for a plastic planer board that cost about 3 bucks to make? . because we can or because we are willing? the off shore companies are running to the bank.......... half the crap we buy is because we want it not because we need it lol

It was a clothing store with some fishing and hunting...

David aka Superdad

PS will miss it in Watertown, one of my fishing lure stops when there. Guess I'll have to go to Fat Nancy's.
